Financial Advisor
What do you love doing outside of work?
I exercise to stay sane – the best is a high intensity workout with music that makes it feel like a dance party. I also relish traveling with my wife – exploring new places, appreciating different cultures, and marveling at natural beauty. Witnessing my kids’ growth and development is very special to me. While every minute is certainly not a dream (note the exercise to stay sane), it fuels me to savor the many fleeting moments of joy and wonder.
Why did I decide to become a financial advisor?

When my wife was in medical school and our first child was on the way, it was so comforting to meet with a financial advisor and receive guidance specific to our lives. I became a financial advisor because I wanted to be able to support people in that way – to help them use money as a tool to live their best lives.

What’s one of my favorite things I’ve helped a client change in their life (financial or otherwise)?

I love helping clients feel good about spending money on things that are important to them. After one particular meeting we had with a client, it warmed my heart to hear how fulfilled she felt when booking their next family vacation because she no longer felt bad about spending the money.
What experiences do I bring to my work helping clients?
I am a care provider and educator at heart. I’ve worked as a physical therapist, fitness instructor, and higher education instructor; I see my current work in much the same way – with a core theme of empowering, teaching, and helping others.

One issue I am passionate about is:

Racial justice and educational equity.
